Paths for People

What issues do you care about as you consider who to vote for in the 2025 municipal election, and why?

As an organization that advocates for safer, more liveable streets, we know it takes political will to shift the way we design, build, and operate our transportation systems. Edmonton has made great strides forward in recent years and we need to keep this momentum going by electing a Council that has the political will to continue building safe, healthy and vibrant communities. We want children to be able to safely walk, roll and bike to school, for our public spaces to be welcoming and for you to have multiple convenient transportation options to choose from when running errands or getting to work.

This election we care about:

  1. street designs, traffic speeds, and city policies that ensure safer and more accessible streets for all users, regardless of their mode of transportation, so everyone has viable transportation options and the independence needed to participate fully in society;
  2. investments in improving and growing active transportation networks city-wide, including multi-modal connectivity;
  3. investments in the public realm, like lighting, benches, gathering spaces, bike parking and trees; and
  4. protecting municipal autonomy.
