What issues do you care about in the 2025 municipal election, and why?
The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC) just released a report that presents results on the significant economic impact arts-based organizations have in Edmonton, as well as evidence of the civic and social benefits that arts and culture provide to citizens. Despite their substantial impact, Edmonton arts organizations are facing financial pressures. The EAC has also seen an increase in applications for funding as the population of the city continues to grow. The EAC wants to know how candidates plan to prioritize support for the economic stability and growth of the arts sector, and ensure equitable public access to the civic and social benefits that the arts provide.
